Sora's history prior to game.
Discedo info: FAQ and Setting
When Sora first arrives in Fortuna, it's July and a month into a situation which involves a nuclear bomb being set off in a nearby town. Discedo, the town she is in at the time, is suffering from the fallout. Naturally with someone who doesn't know how to survive in harsh conditions, Sora gets sick. When she learns of a doctor in a nearby town, she takes the chance and travels to Dissimulo along with the AI Wheatley, who she believes to be a reason why the scientists (the ones who bring in people) are making things horrible for everyone the in world. Their relationship is short but is like a mirror to her and Fool from her world: which is her constantly beating on him. The first friend Sora really makes in this world is an older turtle named Michelangelo, who takes her in after seeing how sick she is.
During the summer, Sora focuses more on making friends and learning about the world she is on. She and Michelangelo get a little closer and she makes friends with a magician named Kaito as well as a bard everyone calles 'Sparrow'. It doesn't last because several people in the area get attacked and murdered, stealing their skin and pretending to be their victims. Once the word gets out, Sora is horrified and barracdes herself in the barn for safety. However, she's also pretty upset that she is unable to do anything to help but cry and hide. Haer'Dalis, Sparrow from earlier, speaks to her over the communicator and calms her down. It's because of this incident that she resolves to try and help others. The only problem is that no one needs cheering up by her acrobatics and in order to survive, Sora needs to do something usual.
Enter Owen Harper: snarky asshole doctor but has a heart of gold. No really. He takes her on as his appentice and they become more than that due to a late night conversation (The second sample is the conversation). It's with this conversation that Sora starts developing the idea of not wanting people close to her leave because if they do, they will have no where to go. In Owen's case, he'd die if he went back.
But the defining point and Sora's development in the game is her involvement with two men: Weiss the Immaculate and Kresnik Ahtreide. Around after the skin stealer incident, Sora meets Kresnik, who is the leader of the area Watch and a commander in his home world's military. They get along pretty well and she even gives him a nickname on the first day: Misunaitato (thank you Google Translate!) which means 'knight' (again, Google Translate) due to being part of the group called the Congressional Knights. When she talks to him about wanting to help around, she hears about Weiss who is doctor. However...Kresnik and him don't see eye to eye and he warns her about going to see him. Like that works out well. Sora goes to see him about getting her chip removed because any foreign object in her body not supposed to be there should go out. Unknowing to her, Weiss decides to play experiment. Under the guise of antibiotics, he inserts nanomachines into her body.
How is Kresnik involved? The machines came from him. Unknowingly mind you.
Certain events happen such as someone messing with a machine and suddenly zombies and fog appear and people being infected with 'sin' along with a nasty monster virus in which people could be saved if they took a pill. It's during the monster event that Sora learns that something is very wrong with her body; she gets ambushed by a native one and on pure flight or fight instinct, she accidentally calls out a very huge shotgun called an ARM and kills it, only to feel an extreme amount of pain afterwards. Kresnik recognizes it to be exactly like his own and gets her to safety. They have several conversations involving what it can do and how the machines got into her in the first place. Since Weiss left between these times, there is nothing more they can do. During this time, Sora feels like she's grown closer to the man and thanks to Owen teasing her, she ends up falling for him.
Due to this, she ends up getting nightmares constantly. The same one over and over again when she is running and her friends are dead around her. Once Sora tells Kresnik her feelings for him and he rejects it, the nightmares get worse and at the end, she sees herself killing him by ripping out his heart. Ironic isn't it? What's worse is that he hid from her a time limit: he brings it up to the medical staff at Discedo's hospital and she overhears him say if the machines are not removed after a certain period of time, she would turn into a monster with no way to turn back except to kill her. Thankfully Washu and Sakura Haruno were able to take them out before that could happen.
After that, the days went by without any big events occuring except for gaining some odd little pets known as mochis and a trip to a city due to letters arriving from friends to come rescue them. The whole thing ends up as a set up as Jeremy, their guide, leads them into a zoo with a Weeping Angel and abandons them. One of the scientists, Jackie, notices this and comes to their rescue. Sora on the other hand is just tired of dealing with these things, having been surrounded by three of them after the new scientists arrived.
Sora will be pulled into Hinoto-Ri after learning that everyone can go home through any door. (End Game)

Canon Standing: End of OVA 2
Personality:
You know those people that are so happy and optimistic that you want to smack them because you feel bad and they don’t? Sora happens to be one of those people: someone who is usually cheerful to the point that people don’t like her. That is until they get to know her better.
One thing to notice is that Sora is determined. An example of this is when some of the other performers twisted her words around when she mentioned a hard routine called the Golden Phoenix. It got the girl in trouble with the main star, who challenged her to perform that same move in one week or to leave Kaleido Stage. For the entire week, Sora does nothing but practice that move. It gets to the point where she had forgotten to eat and someone brought food for her. While she doesn’t complete the routine, Layla, the main star in question, tells her that she did indeed do the Golden Phoenix and secured her spot in the troupe for the moment.
The important fact is when Sora is given a task, she works extremely hard to accomplish it, even getting sick or working with injuries to do what people ask of her. Before her audition for Dracula, she practiced all night in the rain to perform a certain maneuver and ended up getting sick during the audition. She will work nonstop in order to get a move just right or to complete certain training. When given a chance to compete in the International Circus Festival, Leon Oswald tried to break her down by giving her a test: stand on one foot until he says stop. She ended up doing it for a couple of days. And it wasn’t just standing in a room and doing this task: Sora did this while on a moving bus and under rushing cold water. While practicing for the Angel’s Maneuver, Sora would work on her feet so much that the outer skin was rubbed off. Even when her friends told her to stop, she wouldn’t. She refused to give up.
However, like most humans, Sora can give up when the pressure is too much for her to handle. While training for the Circus Festival, she and her partner,Yuri, were helping a competing pair while they were also helping the Kaleido Stage pair. When Sora found out that they were going to perform the same routine, she was heartbroken. The girl couldn’t bear to hurt anyone, and it was worse when another pair jeered at her because she was from Kaleido Stage; not only the same place where the previous winners were but that TWO pairs were competing from. Right in the middle of the routine and on stage in front of thousands Sora stopped and forfeited, stunning all of her friends,Yuri, and Layla. The latter ended up calling her a coward for what she did. Sometimes, she needs a push when she doesn’t want to do anything. The audience sees this during the last performance of Romeo and Juliet when Leon pulls a surprised Sora onto the trapeze. No matter how many times she told him about leaving, he would block her escape routes until she had no choice but to go through with the performance.
When someone needs help, Sora is there to encourage them through talking and performing. When she met a diablo prodigy named Rosetta, she managed to make a routine in which the two would have a duel of sorts. The idea was simple: whoever can make a goal first with their diablo would win. The hard part was that the two would be performing on moving platforms. Rosetta ended up winning and Sora ended up teaching her that performing diablo can be fun again instead of performing tricks like a machine.
Sora can be pretty thoughtful when the time comes it to be. When the Dracula show made the children scared, she made a suggestion to make a show to make them happy. The rightfully named ‘Kids Stage’ was a big hit despite a few snags such as a performer not wanting to go on or Leon making some snide comment about how it was pointless. Sora, in a polite way, just told him to sod off and that this was what she wanted to do.
Sora is one of the kindest people anyone would meet. She will never say anything mean about someone and will always look on the positive side of things. However, she can be angry when pushed too far. Leon Oswald knows this first hand. During the Dracula auditions when he badmouthed Sora’s former partner Layla, she yelled at him (and was another factor in her getting sick). The only person that can really make Sora mad is the spirit of the Stage, Fool. A spirit only seen by those who are meant to be on the Stage, he constantly makes Sora angry by being a pervert. She responded to his behavior by throwing him out windows, locked him the closet and once stuck him in a hot dog bun and tried to roast him. Despite how she treats Fool, Sora would never raise a hand to hurt anyone, even if they hit her first. An example is when another performer, May Wong, slaps her across the face and calls her a coward for running away from the Stage and her refusal to perform again. Sora believed that conflicts make everything worse and that is what inspires her to create a conflict-free stage where the audience and the cast‘s hearts can be one. She does this by performing the Angel’s Maneuver in the production of Swan Lake at the end of the second season.
Sora is also a bit oblivious when it comes to matters of the heart. She won’t know someone is interested in her romantically unless they say it to her face. It happened with her friend Ken Robbins several times when he tried to confess his feelings for her. It never ended well. However , it’s only one way: when it involves another person, she is the first to try and make a love connection.
She also has a simple mind set, making her a bit naïve at times. In the beginning, other performers used it to their advantages such as cleaning the stage. Sora was trying to be nice and start early on but the others sneered and gave her all their jobs, making her late for rehearsal. But being naïve can cause her to shut down during big performances such as the Circus Festival when the competitors would do anything to win, including cheating.
So overall, Sora is a kind young woman who thinks about others above herself with a few small issues but doesn’t let them get to her. And if they do, she just gets up and tries again.
Key Personality Differences:
Sora is a little less naïve in thinking: she will question if something seems out of place instead of believing right off the bat. An example includes questioning a strange man in a new town she and several others were exploring. She’s uneasy to trust him, given the streak of newcomers suddenly doing a Heel-Face Turn. Surprise surprise, he lures them to a room with a Weeping Angel. GOOD JOB THERE.
She’ll also hold the belief that not everything is black and white or good or evil given that Weiss is supposed to be good since doctors are supposed to heal and not harm. Another thing about her is that when she gets to be close friends with someone and they leave, she tends to do stupid shit and get in trouble. No really. When Michelangelo got sent back, she breaks her back doing a move that has to be done with two people. When Owen leaves the second time, she went running into the forest for a week. End result is scaring the shit out of a military man. While she's cried and did things that no one should do when friends leave, it was with Kresnik's departure that she finally stopped doing it, believing that he wouldn't want her to act like a child anymore. After all, he wasn't there to rescue her. This could be seen as the key point when Sora finally learned to grow up.
Due to the influence of Marco, Owen, and Daisuke Aurola, Sora can recognize snark. Despite being in a dark place like Fortuna (and god knows how many times her mind kind of broke), Sora still kept that goodness inside her. She's still innocent in many ways such as never hurting any being or creature as well as her belief that fighting isn't the only solution to matters. Some of what she's seen and learned is due to the basic instinct of survival in Fortuna.
Canon Powers:
No powers, just a regular human.
However, she does have a strong endurance and flexability due to her training as an acrobat. She also has medical knowledge and training from Owen Harper from her time in Discedo. What he has taught her is the following:
- How to set a bon and wrap it properly
- How to deal with hypothermia, the flu, and various infections
- Simple surgeries, like extracting foreign objects for obvious reasons.
- CPR and how to recognize various ailments based on symptoms.
- Basic human anatomy and how everything works together.
- Knowledge of how most things with a spine have similar body functions and organs, they just might not all be in the same place (in case she was ever dealing with aliens like he did)
-Usage of the Singularity Scalpel. It can remove most foreign objects from the body without any mess. Just give them a pain pill and let them rest before going.
*I have discussed this with Owen's player beforehand.*
